The Opportunity
This newly created opportunity, working within the Housing, Health & Partnerships Services will involve managing the community’s safety to ensure all of the Council’s statutory requirements are met in line with the Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults.
Accountabilities
- Manage the day-to-day functions of the Council's Community Safety and Safeguarding workstreams.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Service Plans and Highlight/Exception reports which embed community safety as a corporate priority.
- Lead in Castle Point Borough Council’s Community Safety Strategic Assessment, development of the Community Safety Strategy and setting of the Community Safety Priorities to reduce in borough crime and disorder.
- Act as lead for all Serious Case Reviews, ASB Case Reviews and complaints in relation to Community Safety and Safeguarding.
- Also act as the lead in relation to Community Safety engagement/enforcement projects – such as, PSPO’s, Joint partnership days of action, community engagement events.
- To contribute to achieving the Council’s corporate objectives and priorities and the agenda for achieving continuous improvement in service delivery and any external performance assessments.

- Possess, or are studying for, qualifications relevant to the competent performance of the job or have the necessary experience: risk management, health and safety and welfare.
