Occupational Therapy

The Approved Mental Health Professional Service
This team has a unique position in ensuring compliance with the statutory functions dictated by the Mental Health Act. They are responsible for composing and delivering the Approved Mental Health Professional (AMPH) rota, and undertaking statutory assessments and initial enquiries in line with statutory duties. Joining Essex County Council as an AMHP is both challenging and rewarding – we’re committed to supporting those already qualified and those who want to qualify.

Joining our residential care services team will see you play an integral role providing support for adults who have a range of care needs. The service is based in Bridgemarsh Residential Home (Chelmsford), Longwood Place (Basildon), Magdalen Close Hostel (Clacton-on-Sea), and Tudor House (Colchester). Whether you have a wealth of experience or just a genuine passion to make an impact, we can help you develop a rewarding care career.

Integration and Partnerships
Working in Integration and Partnerships will give you the opportunity to be part of a team at the forefront of social care reform. You’ll operate across social care and in partnership with other authorities. Our roles in this area focus on joint commissioning and the integration of health and social care, including the design and development of new delivery models and ways of working.

Safeguarding & Quality Assurance
These highly experienced teams ensure the quality of our services are maintained and support investigations into safeguarding concerns. There are a variety of roles, and teams are often multidisciplinary. Join this service and you’ll play an integral role supporting our frontline staff, delivering key projects safeguarding the most vulnerable in our society.
