Are you an experienced electoral professional with a passion for delivering democratic processes with integrity, accuracy and excellence? We are looking for an exceptional Electoral Services Manager to lead our Electoral Services team and ensure the effective delivery of electoral registration and elections across the Borough.
About the Role
As Elections Manager, you will be the Council's lead expert on electoral registration and election management. You will oversee the compilation, maintenance and publication of the electoral register, manage the annual canvass programme, and support the Returning Officer in delivering elections, referendums and electoral reviews.
This is a high-profile role requiring strong technical expertise, excellent leadership skills and the ability to interpret and implement complex electoral legislation. You will lead a dedicated team, manage significant electoral projects and ensure the Council remains fully compliant with statutory requirements and best practice.
About you
We're looking for a confident and highly motivated professional who can thrive in a fast-paced, politically sensitive environment. An effective communicator with extensive knowledge of electoral registration, election administration and legislation you will lead and develop the team to ensure the Council meets its statutory duties with regards to elections.
