Surveying Apprentice

Location: Council Offices, Benfleet

Job Title: Surveying Apprentice

Full Time – 37 hours per week

Castle Point Borough Council is seeking a Surveying Apprentice to join our Estates team within the Commercial & Assets Directorate. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in property management, maintenance, and surveying while working towards a formal qualification.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Assist with property and maintenance tasks, including planned preventative maintenance
  • Support the coordination of general maintenance across the estate
  • Help with audits, inspections, and contractor compliance checks
  • Maintain accurate digital records and assist with administrative duties
  • Communicate professionally with colleagues, contractors, tenants, and customers
  • Actively participate in the apprenticeship training programme

Key Skills and Abilities:

  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Strong IT literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to manage tasks effectively and maintain attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Desirable:

  • Full driving licence and own vehicle
  • Interest in surveying, project management, or facilities management
