Systems Analyst – Essex Pension Fund

£32,499 to £38,235 per annum
Location: Chelmsford
Working Style: Anywhere worker - expectation to attend the office is typically twice per week based on business needs

Who are we?
The Essex Pension Fund is one of 86 pension funds which make up the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). The LGPS is the largest defined benefit pension scheme in England and Wales with a fund value of over £340billion.
On its own, our Fund looks after 182,000 Scheme Members, over 800 Employers and is valued at over £11billion, placing us within the top 10 largest LGPS funds in the country.
Here are some of the things you would be doing?
- Responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining best practice guidance across all areas of pensions.
- Using your initiative and be responsible for improving service delivery to employers and members.
- Act as programming language SQL subject matter expert to internal partners and external stakeholders.
- Accountable for monitoring and identifying key developments within the pension systems landscape on a national scale, both within the public and private sector.
- Coach and Mentor less experienced members of your team.

If you’ve significant experience as a systems professional in a complex public or private sector pension environment, with good knowledge of the system requirements for the Police and Fire pension schemes and the LGPS, in addition to an understanding of translating SQL computer reporting into practical application then you have a lot of what we’re looking for and we want to hear from you.
