The Opportunity

We are looking for an Events Assistant to join our busy and friendly team based at The Mill Arts & Events Centre in Rayleigh on an ‘as and when’ basis, where you will be assisting at events and bookings in the evenings, weekends and public holidays. This role would suit a flexible, reliable individual who is able to commit to the shifts in advance and sometimes on short notice.

Accountabilities

  • Assisting at events and bookings at evenings, weekends and Public Holidays.
  • Assisting in the setting up and setting down of The Mill for events and bookings, including moving furniture, setting up glassware and crockery, dressing of the venue and other duties as required.
  • Some events and bookings may include serving alcoholic and soft beverages.
  • Assisting clients and guests as required during the event or booking.
  • Assist in ensuring that all aspects of health and safety are maintained at all times.
  • Assist in ensuring that The Mill and its surroundings are clean and presentable at all times.
  • Undertake briefings for events and bookings as required.
  • Any other duties as required of the post.
