The Senior Campaigns Advisor for Public Health will be an experienced campaigner and marketer who understands the pressures of running multiple campaigns with different objectives - from resident information and engagement, to behavioural change and reputation management.
We are looking for a communications and marketing professional with new ideas on how to reach audiences, including those who do not normally engage with us. This role will be instrumental in shaping and delivering our mental health and wellbeing strand of work, including the development and evaluation of a digital intervention and associated campaign.
Working collaboratively with the Communications and Marketing Manager, this role will devise, manage and deliver communications and marketing strategies and plans for Public Health related activities. This will include a range of health promotion campaigns to effect behaviour change, work to support the vulnerable in our communities and the communication of public health incidents, such as an outbreak.
You will be responsible for engaging with partner organisations on communications and marketing activities, including the Essex ICBs and Health Alliances, as well as health providers.
You will set the direction and provide leadership to Senior Leaders and communications professionals alike who will support you to deliver the programme of work. Together with another Senior Campaigns Advisor for Public Health, you will own the workplan, processes and ensure communications, marketing and engagement best practice is followed.
You will ensure campaign effectiveness and outcomes are monitored and evaluated, in line with GCS evaluation methodology and communicated to all stakeholders at appropriate times in the project.
The role requires an individual who is adaptable, adept at working in a fast-moving, political environment. You will understand how to collaborate, working with stakeholders at every level and be comfortable navigating shifting priorities and complex work to deliver impact. You will have experience of successfully applying behavioural science to your work and engaging non-marketing professionals on the strategic role of communications and marketing in Public Health.

- Evidence of continuing professional development and expert knowledge in relevant professional area.

- Experience of managing six-figure integrated comms and marketing budgets.
- Experience of delivering a campaign calendar that includes multiple campaigns per year of varying objectives, with proven ability to define and impart campaigns strategy.

- Experience of multidisciplinary and cross-functional working.
- Experience of leading and/or delivering mental wellbeing social marketing campaigns is desirable.
- Experience of working with digital products and campaign microsites is desirable.
