Essex County Council are delighted to be advertising on behalf of North Herts Council for the role of Shared Service Manager - Waste | North Herts Council

The Role

East and North Herts Councils have a brand-new shared waste, recycling and street cleansing contract in place and are also rolling out an ambitious service change this summer. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious waste professional to lead the service at the start of this new era, with responsibility for both Councils’ waste, recycling and street cleansing services.

The Experience You Will Bring

You will be an experienced and committed waste leader, with significant experience of managing large contracts and budgets, as well as the ability to lead major projects and procurements. You will have significant experience of developing policies and strategies and of successful performance management. You will have excellent technical knowledge of waste and be our subject expert. You will have the skills to lead and motivate a high performing team, ability to work in partnership with stakeholders and have a customer focused attitude.
