Essex County Council’s Resourcing Team attended the TIARA Talent Acquisition Awards in October, where they were nominated for two awards: The Early Careers Pioneer and the TA Operational Achievement.

The TIARA awards recognise excellence, innovation, and growth in the recruitment sector as well as shining light on the best recruitment companies to work for. Recruitment teams who provide the best candidate and client service, achieve the highest growth and optimize technology available to transform the recruitment sector were all considered for this award, so it was a huge achievement for ECC’s Resourcing Team.

Johanna Smith, Entry to Work Team Manager, and Georgina Vickers, Specialist Resourcing Team Manager, attended the ceremony in London and were honoured to win the Early Careers Pioneer and be awarded highly commended for the TA Operational Achievement.

What is the Early Career Pioneer award and what does that involve?

Early Careers Pioneers award recognises Essex’s outstanding commitment to Early careers employment and achievement in the growth of young employees.

The Judges, who are some of the industry’s leading executives and chairmen, were impressed with Essex County Council and stated, “The Entry to Work Team drove change and took a holistic approach to bringing in all types of early talent and how it’s now embedded in their day to day running.” 

Johanna Smith, from the Entry to Work Team commented: “I’m proud and excited to receive the award on behalf of the Entry to Work Team. It highlights the continuous work the team do and their hard work which goes into ensuing early career pathways are embedded into ECC’s workforce”

Let’s not forget; The Operational Achievement award praised the members of ECC’s Resourcing Team for their consistently superb performance. We are proud of the team’s delivery and transformation that contributes to the smooth running and excellent service within Essex County Council.

Georgina Vickers, Specialist Resourcing Team Manager commented “I was honoured that the Resourcing team received a highly commended for the TA Operational Achievement Award. The team have shown hard work and resilience over the past 12 months and this recognition is thoroughly deserved”
