T Level Week - Fenn - Working for Essex

T Level Week – Fenn

It’s T Level Week 2024, and we’ve spoken with a few of our T Level students to gain a unique look into their experiences of the programme and course.

Starting with a particularly unique story, Fenn is undertaking a T Level in Construction with Chelmsford College – hear how Fenn has found the programme so far below:

How has your T Level experience been in comparison to your expectations?

My T-level experience has been better than I expected due to the opportunities I have been given to get involved with, and the amount of information I have been fortunate enough to receive. I also wasn’t expecting for the work placement and college course to link so much and I strongly believe the work placement is benefiting my work in college.

I strongly believe the work placement is benefiting my work in college.

Fenn, T Level Student

What have you found most rewarding about your experience so far?

It’s great to see the projects that are taking place, the end results and how the clients are using it. I was fortunate enough to complete a visit to one of the schools after completion and the handover had taking place and to see the benefit this building was having on the children and teachers using it was very nice to see.

What do you hope to achieve by the end of your placement, and what are your next steps?

I hope to get a clear understanding of what profession I most enjoy in construction and further pursue a university degree in this sector ideally a university apprenticeship degree so I can tie in the information I am receiving within the real world of construction. So I can then further expand my knowledge.
